Every time I visit Seattle,Washington I am impressed with the quality of their cannabis. I am also always really impressed with their dispensaries. I've been to legal dispensaries in several legal states, and have had some not so pleasant experiences at a few of them.
Having a good dispensary experience is so important, especially for someone visiting from an illegal state, because it's important to see what purchasing legal weed looks and feels like. It should be a comfortable experience from start to finish. The customer should walk into a dispensary a be able to ask questions, buy products, and get completely accurate information on what they're purchasing. If you have ever had a sketchy dispensary experience then you know how off putting it can be.
I have yet to have a bad dispensary experience in Seattle though. Not only are they clean, professional, and informative but Seattle also has some of the cheapest weed in the country. You can get an ounce for $25 - $30 at some places if you go at the right time. I've had the opportunity to visit a grow facility in Seattle and understand why the quality of cannabis there is so special. Geographically, Seattle is elevated and has a lot of natural fresh water, making an ideal place to grow really anything. Also the companies and farms based in Seattle really care about the plant and take the time to take care of their crops and grow as organically as possible. The standards for cannabis in Seattle is definitely high.
I say all that to say that if you have yet to visit Seattle or try Seattle weed, I really suggest it. So book a flight and prepare a trip to go visit the following dispensaries for quality service and quality bud.
(In no particular order)

This dispensary has one of the largest selections of products I have ever seen. On top of all the great flower they also sell they also have tinctures, teas, topicals, vapes, edibles, glass/smoking accessories, and so much more. I was really impressed with the variety of products they had. Another thing I really enjoyed about Hashtag Freemont was their staff. During my visit the staff was incredibly friendly and gave me some great recommendations. I felt really comfortable in here and they even let me walk around and talk pictures after I was done purchasing my items. After I went I recommended a family member of mine, who isn't as educated about cannabis, to go visit Hashtag. She informed me they were also super helpful in giving her the right product for her specific needs. They also have an online order option so you can skip the line and easily pick up at your own convenience. Check out their huge menu here. This is a great stop for a tourist because they literally have everything here so you can come to this one shop and grab some flower, a pipe or papers, lighters, and have a good stoned time in Seattle.

If you're in the cannabis industry you've probably heard some buzz around this luxury pot shop franchise, Diego Pellicer. Walking in it doesn't even look like a pot shop. It's upscale feel is what caught my attention, everything is displayed in glass casing with gold accents all around. It looks like the royal family would buy their weed here. You would think that their products are on the pricey side when in fact that's not the case. Everything is actually pretty standard price and they even have a rewards program. The rewards program gives those that sign up coupons, discounts, and first dibs on specials. And there is usually always some sort of great special at DP, check out their current specials here. They also provide information and resources for less experienced buyers and visitors. There are printed pamplets of a map of the dispensary, a strain guide, and breakdown of the difference between sativas vs indicas and how to choose the proper dosage for an edible. I was really impressed with really everything about DP Seattle. I would feel completely comfortable bringing my mom and grandma here. This is the perfect place to bring those family members that don't understand or approve of the legal weed industry because this dispensary is a great example of how delightful and not scary purchasing cannabis can be.

A fellow cannabis industry friend took me to Dockside (Ballard location) before our grow tour. Little did I know that this dispensary also had a little cannabis history museum inside. That alone is the reason why this dispensary made my list. It was so interesting to browse the historical cannabis items they had displayed and read about the history of hemp and cannabis. They also had a beautiful selection of handmade glass/smoking accessories apparently made by local glass blowers. As far as their product selection goes, I was also pleased with their variety and how their products were displayed. Individual flower was in glass cases and had a full description of their strain type, description, taste/terpenes, and effects making it easy for the shopper to choose based on their preference. This is another great dispensary you can take the most novice cannabis tourist too and they will feel comfortable during their visit.

Also located in the Freemont area of Seattle, OZ Recreation Cannabis is much smaller and less overwhelming than the others on this list. If you don't like having too many choices and a lot of people around you while you shop this is the place for you. "We are like no other recreational shop in Seattle. Our color-coded clipboard menu lines the walls, describing the effects and flavor for each product. Organized by price and type, it’s easy to find quality options for any budget. Our customers can take the time to make an informed decision, and for those who have questions or are new to it all, our knowledgeable staff is happy to help," as said on their official website. The only downside is you can't see the flower or product while you're shopping they are all behind the counter. But the clipboards displayed give you a full breakdown of their products and potency of each.

One of the first dispensaries I ever visited in Seattle was American Mary's. There is no huge selling point to this shop, it's not high end or has a special feature. They really are the "mom and pop shop" of cannabis dispensaries. They have great products for an affordable price, educated bud-tenders, and no fluff just straight up quality cannabis products. "Our goal is to offer the best cannabis we can source, and then make buying it as simple, inexpensive and easy as it could possibly be," according to their website. Hence why American Mary's has been a top rated recreational dispensary in the Seattle area for a few years now. They are my go to dispensary every time I visit the Pacific Northwest because I know I can find exactly what I want without breaking the bank. The staff is also always very helpful and friendly. This is another dispensary you can order online for pickup and you can view their full menu here.
